VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

I think everybody has heard of the famous saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, but it may be more apt to take a carrot a day instead.

I say this because of the raw carrot’s powerful effect on hormone balancing. And yes, I did say raw carrot.

The power of the carrot comes from the fact that it is very hard to digest. You may be familiar with undigested carrot coming out in your stools, or if you vomit.

The indigestible fibers in the carrot binds to excess estrogen, preventing its reabsorption, and removes it safely from the body. In particular this is great for females, helping with PMS, irregular menstrual cycles, endometriosis, and PCOS, as well as weight gain.

A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition had participants eat 200g of raw carrot each day for breakfast for 3 weeks, and they found that it increased fecal bile acid and fat excretion by 50%, and positive changes in bacterial flora and metabolism.

Normally with sluggish bowels, the estrogen that is meant to be excreted gets reabsorbed from the bile. So, with carrots both increasing the amount of bile excretion, and having the indigestible fibers absorb excess estrogen, these two mechanisms are why carrots have such a positive effect on hormones.

A third mechanism comes from the fact that the raw carrot fibers also bind to toxins, and help gut bacteria to normalize, which in turn, helps hormones to normalize. Much of the hormone regulation in the body can not occur without an enzyme called intestinal sulfatase, and this only comes from a having a healthy gut bacterium.

On top of this, carrots are a natural antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and antibiotic. But unlike pharmaceutical drugs, you can take them every day without any harmful side effects. Basically, it kills all the bad stuff.

There were even studies done on the effects of carrots against Listeria and E. Coli, two of the deadliest bacteria known to mankind, causing hundreds of deaths each year, and thousands of illnesses. Raw carrots, once again, not cooked carrots, prevented the growth of these bacteria.

What other things can you expect to resolve from eating raw carrots? Acne, headaches, bloating, autoimmune disease, atherosclerosis, thyroid issues, inflammation, and cancer.

If you are not eating a carrot a day, you might struggle to keep the doctor away.
