VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
No, Vitamin C won’t cure your cold. Have you seen this, or other similar sensational headlines? If you google whether Vitamin C works against colds or flus, you will find almost every mainstream media source referencing a study called “Vitamin C for preventing and treating the common cold”, published in PubMed.
It was an analysis of 29 studies and over 11,000 participants. The results were that Vitamin C did not make people less likely to catch a cold, did not work at all if you starting taking it once you already had the cold, and it was no better than a placebo.
The problem is that this is a fake study. It was deliberately set up to produce false and misleading results.
Let me give you an example. We all know the if you drink alcohol, you get drunk. So what if someone set up a study and gave everyone 1 drop of alcohol. That’s right, just 1 single tiny drop, like a drop of rain. Then they ran blood alcohol tests and found that taking alcohol did not cause any of the participants in the study to get drunk.
Now imagine if every mainstream media outlet parroted this study and told everyone that you can’t get drunk from drinking alcohol. That is pretty much the same situation with the Vitamin C study. The participants only took a measly 200mg of Vitamin C. An amount which will do jack diddly squat. Just like a drop of alcohol will do to get someone drunk.
To make it seem like a big number, they say the RDA is 90mg, but that number has just been made up out of thin air.
To highlight the dishonesty of the mainstream media, there are dozens of studies showing that Vitamin C is extremely effective against colds and flus, but they are never mentioned. Instead, they all parrot the same fake study that Vitamin C doesn’t work, and tell you to get a flu shot, because they push the sales of Big Pharma products as they are their number one advertiser.
One example is a study published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, where they gave participants 3,000mg per day, and found that the symptoms decreased by 85%. This is 15 times higher than the fake study. But to get optimal results, this isn’t even enough, and you should probably take at least 100 times more Vitamin C than was used in the fake study.
High dose Vitamin C works, so the mainstream media uses one final tactic to stop you taking Vitamin C. They tell you it’s dangerous. First they say that doses above 400mg are useless as it is just excreted out in the urine. They then lie and say that doses of 2,000mg per day cause nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating, cramps, and kidney stones. But if you have a flu, and take the right form of Vitamin C, it’s basically impossible to get any of these.
So if you hear anyone parroting this fake study and trying to claim that Vitamin C won’t cure your cold, know that they are either a moron or a liar. Vitamin C is your best bet to prevent and recover from a cold or flu, and when taken at the right dosages, you can literally recover in just hours.
